NEW: Catskiing Adds Vertical to Baldy Mountain Resort

Baldy Mountain Resort, legendary for their epic Powder Thursday's, has just announced the addition of a cat skiiing experience for the 2027 season. Baldy is located in the South Okanagan and is blessed with some of the lightest pow around. On top of that, they are closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So if there is a mid-week storm, there is a significant increase in Powder Flu come Thursday! Now that Baldy has added catskiing to the equation, late week powder buffets are sure to be all you can eat.

More is to be announced, but here are the details so far:

  • The snowcat experience will add 180m of extra, untouched vertical (that is almost 600 vertical feet!)
  • Rides will be available every Friday through Sunday starting at 10 am.
  • A single ride is $35.
  • Meeting spot at the top of Eagle chair so don’t forget your lift ticket to load the chairlift.
  • Single cat rides available at Guest Services.
  • Private cat bookings will be available through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
